Francis (Doc) was born January 28, 1915 in Highland County, Ohio to Austin and Mary Ellen (Brown) Haines. He graduated from Greenfield McClain High School in 1933 and from Lincoln Chiropractic College, Indianapolis, in 1938. He married Evelyn Cope, daughter of Dwight and Josephine (West) Cope of Greenfield, Ohio in 1939. Doc served the Washington C.H., Ohio area as a chiropractic physician from 1938 to 1978. He was a member of the Grace Methodist Church, Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge of Washington C.H., and the Scottish Rite and Aladdin Shriners of Columbus, Ohio. He was also a member of the Christ Methodist Church of Kettering after moving from Washington C.H., Ohio in 2005 to be near his family. He is survived by two sons: Mel and Nancy (Maneely) Haines of Kettering, Ohio, Steve and Leslie (Boyer) Haines of Centerville, Ohio. He was grandfather to Douglas and Collen (Morrow) Haines, Andrew and Julie (Haines) Charlton of Centerville, Ohio, Andrew Haines of Springboro, Ohio and Shane and Lindsey (Haines) Riffle) of Meridian, Idaho. He was also great grandfather to: Connor and Caroline Haines of Centerville, Ohio and Cole and Sawyer Riffle of Meridian, Idaho. The family would like to thank the Bethany Village Staff and residents that became his new and expanded circle of friends in recent years for their friendship and care. Friends and family will be received at a memorial service, which will be held in the Christ Methodist Church Chapel, 3151 Shroyer Rd., Kettering, Ohio on Thursday September 9, 2010 at 7pm.
