He was a long time Wabash dentist and former Wabash City Schools board member. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. Dr. Fults, who was retired after being in dental practice in Wabash 43 years, died at the Stratford House at 5:05 p.m. Monday. He was seriously ill seven months. He was graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1922. He started practice in the Old Bradley building at Canal and Wabash Streets. With Dr. G. M. LaSalle he bought and remodeled the building on Market Street now occupied by the First Federal Savings and Loan Association and moved into that location in 1932. In 1960 he moved to the medical building built on Spring Street by the LaSalles. He retired in November, 1964. He was a life member of the Indiana State Dental Association and the American Dental Association. During the 15 years he was on the Wabash school board - from 1940 to 1955 - the new West Ward building was built and plans were made to remodel the former junior high school. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he was active on the building committee for the new church. He was active in the Wabash Street Methodist Church, serving as trustee and in other official capacities, prior to the merger of that church and the North Central Evangelical United Brethren Church into Christ Church. He was a charter member of the Wabash Exchange Club. He also belonged to the American Legion, Knights Templar, Shrine Club, Scottish Rite, Elks and Mizpah Temple. Dr. Fults was born in Andrews Aug. 3, 1899 and had lived in Wabash 50 years. He was the son of Frank E. and Emma (Bechtold) Fults. He married Aline McCune Dec. 8, 1926 and she survives with one daughter, Mrs. William H. (Rosanna) Wallace, Tucson, Ariz.; and one grandchild. Preferred memorials are to Christ United Methodist Church.
