He was a native of Maryland and all but two years of his life were spent in Missouri. He was married over 51 years ago to Miss Ann Maupin, who survives him. He was the father of five children, two of whom have passed beyond. Those who survive him are Mrs. Dora Williamson, near Maud, Mrs. Grubb, of Kansas, and Miss Lizzie Eskridge, of this county. For a number of years the deceased practiced surgery veterinary until his health failed. He was a very quite man and had the confidence and esteem of the people in general.
