DAUGHRITY FUNERAL SUNDAY Funeral services for Kenneth Leroy Daughrity, 49, former resident of Keosauqua, were held at the Schmidt Memorial home in Keokuk Sunday at 1:30 p.m. He died Thursday night after suffering a heart attack in his home in Cleveland, Mass. The body arrived in Keokuk Saturday afternoon. He was born in Keosauqua and was a veteran of the World War I Rainbow division. DAUGHRITY FUNERAL SUNDAY Funeral services for Kenneth Leroy Daughrity, 49, former resident of Keosauqua, were held at the Schmidt Memorial home in Keokuk Sunday at 1:30 p.m. He died Thursday night after suffering a heart attack in his home in Cleveland, Mass. The body arrived in Keokuk Saturday afternoon. He was born in Keosauqua and was a veteran of the World War I Rainbow division. After his discharge from the army he received his bachelor and master degrees from Columbia University in New York, and after teaching two years in Auburn (Ala.) college, he received his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia. For the last 14 years, Professor Daughrity had taught at the State Teachers college at Cleveland where he was head of the English department at the time of his death. Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Daughrity and a brother, Harry, all of Keokuk. Burial was in the Purdom cemetery. Pallbearers were Selman Daughrity, Harry Daughrity, Ream Daughrity, Lawrence Daughrity, Beverly Dickinson. Source: Van Buren Co.
