Description	:	Dr. LaMar Fleagle, 87, a resident of Otterbein Retirement Community, St. Marys, formerly of 849 W. Spring St., St. Marys, died at 3 p.m. Nov. 12, 2005, at his residence. He was born April 9, 1918, in Sherwood, to Harold and Eva Shook Fleagle. On Sept. 7, 1947, he married Norene Utley, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, James (Karen) of Van Wert, David of Louisville, Ky, and Dr. Kurt of Dayton; a sister, Janet (Al) Collins, Richmond, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Vera of Celina, and Kay of Boulder, Colo.; five grandchildren; and two... He was born April 9, 1918, in Sherwood, to Harold and Eva Shook Fleagle. On Sept. 7, 1947, he married Norene Utley, who survives. Also surviving are three sons, James (Karen) of Van Wert, David of Louisville, Ky, and Dr. Kurt of Dayton; a sister, Janet (Al) Collins, Richmond, Mich.; two sisters-in-law, Vera of Celina, and Kay of Boulder, Colo.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Deceased are three brothers, Dean, Robert and Donald. He was a dentist in St. Marys and a member of the Ohio Dental Association and Northwest Ohio Dental Association. In 1935, he graduated from Latty High School, in 1939 he graduated from Bowling Green State University and in 1950 received his doctor of dental surgery degree from Ohio State University. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served as a captain in the signal corps in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, American Legion Post 323 and Free & Accepted Masons 121, Mercer Lodge, all of St. Marys. Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Keith Kivlin officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys. Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Otterbein St. Marys. The Daily Standard
