He was born October 15, 1880 in Ireland and came to this country with his parents. He was married to Elizabeth Anstey in 1904 at Reno, Iowa and went to Kansas City where he took a veterinarian course. Read More	Atlantic News Telegraph December 12, 1961 Page 4 Dr. Jennings, Elliott, Dies ELLIOTT - Dr. Lawrence J. Jennings, 51, died at 12:30 this morning at the Red Oak hospital. He was born October 15, 1880 in Ireland and came to this country with his parents. He was married to Elizabeth Anstey in 1904 at Reno, Iowa and went to Kansas City where he took a veterinarian course. They came to Elliott in 1906 where he served as a veterinarian until retiring two years ago. Dr. Jennings had been making his home recently with a daughter, Mrs. Ray Green at South Gate, California until being taken ill. He was then brought to the home of his son, Lloyd, at Elliott where he lived until entering the hospital a few days ago. Dr. Jennings was a member of Our Lady of Grace church in Griswold. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Florence Barber of Maywood, California, Mrs. Ray Green of South Gate, California, and Mrs. Patricia Erskine of Council Bluffs; four sons, Dr. Gregory Jennings of Dedham, Charles Jennings of Griswold, Lloyd Jennings of Red Oak, and Richard Jennings of Elliott, 23 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter. Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening at the Nelson funeral home at Red Oak and last rites will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Grace Catholic church at Griswold with burial in the Reno cemetery.
