J. Jennings, veterinarian, who died at her home in Elliot, Saturday. Rev. Father M. M. Tennessen, of St. Mary's parish, in Red Oak had charge of the services. Serving as pallbearers were Everett Carson, Ralph Hillhouse, Charles Redmon, William Sweeney, Bernard Wilson, and Lawrence Cullen. Burial was in St. Timothy cemetery at Reno. Elizabeth Anstey was born in Cass county, Iowa, August 21, 1884, and would have been 53 years old next Saturday. She was a daughter of George and Ada Anstey living near Massena. She grew to womanhood in Cass county and was married to L. J. Jennings at Reno, Cass county in 1904. After their marriage they went to Maple River, Iowa where they lived on year, and then located in Kansas City for three years where Mr. Jennings attended a veterinary school. In 1908 they came to Elliott where Dr. Jennings established a practice of a veterinarian and they had lived at Elliott since. Mrs. Jennings was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church at Griswold. She had been afflicted with Hodgkins disease for the past five years and had been bedfast since May 1. Beside her husband, Dr. L. J. Jennings, of Elliott, she is survived by eight children, Mrs. Clement Wilson, of Elliott; Mrs. Irvin Barber of Council Bluffs; Dr. Gregory Jennings, of Dedham, Iowa; Lloyd Jennings, Charles Jennings, Phyllis Jennings, Richard Jennings, and Patricia Jennings, at home. She is also survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Anstey of Massena; and eight brothers and sisters, Dr. John Anstey of Massena; Mrs. J. P. Kordick of Des Moines; Miss Helen Anstey, Mrs. H. J. Spies, Mrs. C. A. Wyckoff, Lloyd Anstey, Charles Anstey, and James Anstey, all of Massena.
