Description	:	WW II Veteran - US Army Husband Margaret Wallace Moss, m 1941 He attended Fredericksburg High School and Hampden-Sydney College, graduating in 1937. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Virginia in 1941. He entered the Army Air Medical Corp in 1942. He completed his service in 1946 having achieved the rank of major. He pursued further training in pediatrics at Boston Children's Hospital, returning to Fredericksburg in 1948 to start private practice at the Pratt Clinic. He remained at Pratt Clinic practicing internal medicine for 41 years, retiring in 1989 at the age of 75. The Lloyd F. Moss wing at the Pratt Medical Center was dedicated in 1986. After retirement, Dr. Moss continued to pursue his passion to provide health care to all in the community. In 1993, the Free Clinic was established in the Amy Guest Wing at Mary Washington Hospital. Soon after, the clinic was renamed the Lloyd F. Moss Free Clinic. He continued to see patients at the Free Clinic until age 85. Dr. Moss was a member of the board of directors of the Fredericksburg Regional Health Council until his death. Dr. Moss was a charter member of the Virginia Reel, founding member of the Fredericksburg Big Band, and past member of the Lions Club. He was a member of the Rappahannock Area Regional Health Council, the Rappahannock Health Advisory Council, the Salvation Army Advisory Board, and Hospice Support Care. In 1994, he received the Medical Society of Virginia's Distinguished Physician Award for Community Service. He was a member of St. George's Episcopal Church.
