Description	:	Morris Keeler Perinchief died peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016, from lung cancer, at age 75. He was at home, surrounded by loving friends. He was the oldest child of Morris K. Perinchief and Marie Louise Pauxtis. Born in Virginia, Morris grew up in Mount Holly, New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Biology in 1963. Read More	Morris Keeler Perinchief died peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016, from lung cancer, at age 75. He was at home, surrounded by loving friends. He was the oldest child of Morris K. Perinchief and Marie Louise Pauxtis. Born in Virginia, Morris grew up in Mount Holly, New Jersey. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Biology in 1963. He accepted a job with a cancer research project from Harvard. When that project then transferred to the University of Chicago, he went with it and subsequently completed his Masters of Fine Arts degree. He went on to complete his Doctorate in Art History at the University of Wisconsin. After teaching at the University of Memphis, and Carlyle, he accepted a position at Kutztown University, and found a home. He had a full and rewarding career at Kutztown, as a professor, Department Head, member of the Strategic Planning Council and teaching art history classes for professionals off campus. He assisted as a leader of student group trips to Europe. At Kutztown, he made beloved friends with fellow professors, students, neighbors and community members. He loved teaching. He retired in 2007. Morris enjoyed an active social life in retirement. He extensively landscaped his two acres on a hill, with Phoebe Adams contributing lots of bulbs and backbreaking hours of labor. He enjoyed museum trips, birthday parties, extensive dinners and holidays with friends. He loved his daily walks with Peggy, and his beloved dog, Jack, and the social group at the coffee shop. He did not much like the gym. Special thanks is due to Margaret Devlin and Deb Sieger for their friendship, devoted care and love during his illness. Morris is survived by his remaining sister, Linda Perinchief Zevitas, her children, Alexander McKee and Katharine McKee, and cousins: Maureen Perinchief, Judith Perinchief, Ann and Donald Perinchief, and their children: Alison Reinhard, Kerri Iorfino and Lauren Perinchief. Family and friends may visit the family on Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 10-11 a.m. at the Perinchief Chapels, 438 High St., Mt. Holly, NJ. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Holly Cemetery. Published in Reading Eagle on Sept. 22, 2016
