Description	:	Robert "Bob" was the son of John and Amy (Bristow Brown) Tindall. Robert married Carolyn Jabs. He was born July 28, 1914, in Plymouth County, Iowa, and came to Punta Gorda from St. Louis. After Carolyn died, he married Virginia Brown. ************************** Dr. Robert Nelson Tindall, 88, Punta Gorda, died Dec. 6, 2002. He was born July 28, 1914, in Plymouth County, Iowa, and came to Punta Gorda from St. Louis. He retired in 1978 after 10 years as an ear, nose and throat doctor at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, St. Louis. He graduated from pre-med at Western Union College, Le Mars, Iowa, in 1934 and the State University of Iowa Medical School in 1938. He completed his internship at St. Louis City Hospital in 1939 and Missouri Pacific Hospital, St. Louis, in 1940. He was in the Army Medical Corps from 1940-6 and received specialty training at Washington University Medical School, St. Louis, from 1946-9. He practiced otolaryngology in St. Louis from 1950-78, and was assistant professor and later associate professor of otolaryngology at St. Louis University Medical School for 28 years. He was president of the staff of Deaconess Hospital, St. Louis, from 1967 to 1968, and president of the St. Louis Ear, Nose and Throat Club. He was a member of American Legion Post 110 and Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, both in Port Charlotte, Burnt Store Country Club and Elks Lodge 2606, both in Punta Gorda. Survivors include his wife, Virginia E. (Brown); his stepmother, E. Ferne of Le Mars; sisters Mary White of Santa Clara, Calif., and Mildred Hunter of Le Mars. The funeral service was held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Additional services and burial were in Le Mars. Published in Herald Tribune on Dec. 9, 2002
