He was born April 15, 1926, in Frankfort to Lloyd W. and Clara (Butler) Wilson. He graduated from Frankfort High School in 1944. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. After his discharge he married Maxine Levi May 22, 1949, in Frankfort. He farmed all his life near Frankfort. He loved all aspects of farming and raising livestock and enjoyed watching the irrigation pivots. Duane and Maxine wintered in Apache Junction, Ariz., for several years. He had been a resident at the Eastern Star Home since 2005. He was a member of the Frankfort United Methodist Church, Frankfort Masonic Lodge and the Frankfort Township Board. Survivors include his wife: Maxine, Frankfort; three sons: Dan Wilson, Frankfort, Gary (Kathryn) Wilson, Watertown, and Gene (Kaylyn) Wilson, Frankfort; four grandchildren: Ryan Wilson, Brooke Hanson, Blake Wilson and Ty Wilson; three great-grandchildren; one brother: Lloyd A. (Anita) Wilson, Mesa, Ariz.; and one sister: Eleanor Lambert, Seattle, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-grandson: Jason Anderson. Redfield Press
