She passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at Trinity Towers Vista Care in Corpus Christi at age 79. Charlie Marshall Funeral Home in Aransas Pass, Texas, helped the family with arrangements. She received her education in the Frankfort schools. On May 22, 1949, she was united in marriage to Duane Wilson at Frankfort Methodist Church. They lived on the family farm near Frankfort. They were the parents of three sons: Dan, Gene and Gary. She was the editor for the South Dakota Quarter Horse Newsletter for several years. After raising her family, she was a breeder of winning Shetland sheepdogs. She traveled the country watching them be shown. She was an avid traveler in her home on wheels. Her winters spent at a favorite spot in Rockport, Texas. Her home of 59 years near Frankfort was her summer layover, where her garage sale signs could be seen along state Highway 37. Left with memories of Maxine are her sons: Dan, of Frankfort, Gene and wife Kaylynn and family of Estherville, Iowa, and Gary and wife Kathryn and family of Watertown. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one step grandson, Jason Anderson. There will be a memorial in the spring at the Frankfort Cemetery in Frankfort. *Obit provided by L.Davenport #46776086
