Description	:	Dwight D. Conner Surrounded by his family, Dwight peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2012 following a brief stay at St. Joseph Hospital. He had recently relocated from Santa Fe, New Mexico to live with his beloved mother, Mona Conner of Eureka. Dwight was born to David and Mona Conner on February 2, 1953 in Eureka. He graduating from Eureka High School in 1972 and in 1979 from San Jose State College with a degrees in Marketing and Business Administration. He had recently relocated from Santa Fe, New Mexico to live with his beloved mother, Mona Conner of Eureka. Dwight was born to David and Mona Conner on February 2, 1953 in Eureka. He graduating from Eureka High School in 1972 and in 1979 from San Jose State College with a degrees in Marketing and Business Administration. Later he received a culinary course certificate from the International Cordon Bleu School in London. For 20 years Dwight was an airline steward; his work allowed him to live in various settings from Laguna Beach, CA to Philadelphia, PA. For a brief period he worked international flights to Spain, Italy, Germany and England. Dwight retired in 2003 to devote his full attention to two activities he had pursued as side interests: remodeling and selling homes in the Santa Fe area and refurbishing and selling older Mercedes Benz automobiles. Dwightʼs many interests included cars, gourmet cooking, fine dining, travel, interior design and real estate. He appreciated the beauty of nature, the companionship of many friends and especially the love of his extended family. Over the past decade he made frequent trips to Eureka as the health of his father declined. After his fatherʼs death, Dwight continued to travel from Santa Fe to spend time with his mother. In July of this year, he returned for good and spent the last four months of his life in his childhood home, surrounded and supported by his family. Dwight was preceded in death by his father, David and is survived by his mother, Mona, numerous cousins with their families and dear friends, Connie Logan of Eureka, Randy Eckhart of Eureka, Gary Grannis of Eureka and Peter Schupp of Monroe, New York. The family wishes to thank the medical staff of St. Joseph Hospital and Dwightʼs physician, Dr. Carolyn Connor. A memorial service will be held at First Congregational Church (UCC), 900 Hodgson St. Eureka at 10 am on Saturday, December 8, 2012. Contributions in celebration of Dwightʼs life may be made to First Congregational Church or to a charity of choice.
