Description	:	Dwight Elton "Pickles" Baker was born February 26, 1940 near Woodbine, Iowa to parents Elton & Alma (Brewster) Baker. He attended Merry Brook Country School and graduated from Woodbine high School in 1958. He then worked as a truck driver for Bud Waite. He was drafted into the US Army. He served in the Military Police with the Canine Unit. After his honorable discharge he worked for Woodbine Building Systems putting up grain bins and metal buildings. Read More	Dwight Elton "Pickles" Baker was born February 26, 1940 near Woodbine, Iowa to parents Elton & Alma (Brewster) Baker. He attended Merry Brook Country School and graduated from Woodbine high School in 1958. He then worked as a truck driver for Bud Waite. He was drafted into the US Army. He served in the Military Police with the Canine Unit. After his honorable discharge he worked for Woodbine Building Systems putting up grain bins and metal buildings. Dwight married Nancy Blum on December 22, 1979 in Welman, Iowa. The couple made their home east of Woodbine. Pickles then went to work for the City of Woodbine as a police officer and later worked for the street department. Dwight retired in February of 2005. The couple operated Parkay Kennels raising purebred Boxers, Boston Terriers and Corgi's. Dwight was baptized into the RLDS Church as a child. He later became a member of the Followers of Christ. He was a priest in the church and enjoyed his work for the church and developing the reunion campground near Little Sioux, Iowa. Dwight died during the Reunion Camp week on Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley at the age of 67 years, four months and 28 days. Dwight was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Charles Baker and a niece Janet Newell. He is survived by his wife Nancy Baker of Woodbine, Iowa; two sisters, Maxine Newell and Mary Rozella Baker both of Woodbine, Iowa and many other relatives and friends.
