Description	:	FULLERTONDwight G. Imus, 78, of Fullerton, passed away with his family by his side on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Boone County Medical Center in Albion. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2017 at Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton. Jon Epley and Randy Furby will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Fullerton Cemetery in Fullerton with military honors by American Legion Post 151 of Fullerton. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 12th at the funeral home. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dwight was born to Clyde and Mable (Kurth) Imus on August 3, 1939 in Belgrade. He attended District 65 grade school and graduated from Belgrade High School in 1958. After graduating, he joined the U. S. Army, where he was stationed at various locations such as Colorado Springs, CO, Maryland, Fort Knox in Kentucky, and Fort Churchill in Canada. He was honorably discharged in February 1962 and began his journey in the construction field. In 1963, he married his wife, Nadine Furby, and their first child, Annette, was born followed by her brother, Bryan, in 1965. Also, in 1965, he ran a grocery store in Belgrade, NE. In 1968, he began a farm with milk cows east of Belgrade and five short years later, his last child was born, a girl, Carla. In 1974, the family moved to Dodge, Nebraska where Dwight worked as a manager at Wimmers Meat Packing Plant. Ten years later, they made their way back to Fullerton. In 1987, Dwight began working at the county courthouse where he worked until he retired in 2007. He is survived by his wife, Nadine of Fullerton; daughter, Annette (Kenny) Johnson of Genoa; son, Bryan (Toni) Imus of Columbus; daughter, Carla (Arron) Wetovick of Fullerton; eight grandchildren, Danielle (Drew) Spelts of Lincoln, Daylee (Jeff) Vollbracht of Colorado, Dana Johnson of Lincoln, Curtis and Mattie Imus of Columbus, Cynan Wetovick of Omaha, Tia and Zoe Wetovick of Fullerton; four great-grandchildren, Devyn and Dillon Spelts of Lincoln and Jason and Olivia Vollbracht of Colorado; brothers, David Imus of Wolbach and Ronnie (Vicki) Imus of Wyoming; sister, Kathryn Brown of Washington; brothers-in-law, Daryle (Jan) Furby of Fullerton, Randy (Linda) Furby of Florida; sisters-in-law, Judy (late Larry) Imus of Belgrade and Ava (Bruce) Wild of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews who he held dear to his heart. He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws, Walter and Lucille Furby; sister, Phyllis Cox; brother, Larry Imus; sisters-in-law, Char and Judy M. Imus; and brother-in-law, Howard Brown. Dwight was a man who lived without fear and almost always could be found in his wood shop. He was a man who loved his family, a man who will never be forgotten.
