He was employed at Barker Poultry Equipment Co. for 21 years prior to his retirement in 1960. The son of Fredrick and Mary O’Neal Campbell, he was born in Sedgwick County, Kan. He was employed at Barker Poultry Equipment Co. for 21 years prior to his retirement in 1960. The son of Fredrick and Mary O’Neal Campbell, he was born in Sedgwick County, Kan. Dec. 19, 1889, and resided in Wapello County and Ottumwa most of his life. He was a member of the Church of the Brethren. His marriage to Emily Sammons took place March 20, 1914, in Ottumwa. She survives. He also leaves one son, Reggie Lee Campbell of Ottumwa; one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Crane of Ottumwa; a grandson, Larry E. Crane of Ottumwa and a granddaughter, Mrs. Joyce Boysel of Des Moines; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Ray Campbell of Ottumwa, and one sister, Mrs. Lavina Lester of Ottumwa Route 2. He was preceded in death by a son, Ralph, in 1937, and by four brothers and two sisters. Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Milton Early officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Davis County. Pallbearers will be Goldson Black, Leonard Anderson, Frank Barnett, Henry and Gary Sammons and Eugene Covert. The casket will remain at the Johnson Funeral Chapel until 11 a.m. Tuesday when it will be taken to the church and closed at the beginning of the service.
