CAMPBELL BLAKESBURG – Emily Arzella [sic] Campbell, 79, died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines Tuesday. She was born March 10, 1898 in Davis [sic] County to Newton and Elizabeth Burgess Sammons. She married Earl Campbell in Ottumwa. She grew up in the Blakesburg area and attended Center School. She lived most of her life in Ottumwa and Blakesburg, but lived in Des Moines with a daughter the past six years. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Ottumwa. Survivors include a son, Reggie of Des Moines; a daughter, Thelma Crane of Des Moines; a brother, Perry Sammons of Unionville; 3 granddaughters and 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Wesley Chapel Church south of Blakesburg, the Rev. Cye Collar of Fort Dodge Open Bible Church officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
