Description	:	Earl F. Hart, the son of Alonzo and Ella (Nall) Hart, was born November 23, 1888, on a farm near Edgar, Nebraska. He passed away Monday, June 21, 1982, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 28 days. Hart, the son of Alonzo and Ella (Nall) Hart, was born November 23, 1888, on a farm near Edgar, Nebraska. He passed away Monday, June 21, 1982, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 93 years, 6 months and 28 days. Earl was a life-long resident of Edgar and has always been active and interested in his community and its activities. Before his retirement he had operated a dry goods store, the grain elevator and was active in farming and raising livestock. He was a member of the Church of the Plains and had served on the church board. He was mayor of Edgar for several years and had served on the school board and has helped with the Boy Scouts. Mr. Hart was a member of and an ambassador of Ak-Sar-Ben; a charter member of the Edgar Lions Club; past master and present holder of the Jordan Medal of Edgar Lodge No. 67 A.F. & A.M.; York Rite Masons and Tehama Shrine of Hastings. Earl graduated from the Edgar Schools and then attended Nebraska Wesleyan University of Lincoln. In 1910 he was married to Inez Ferebee at Edgar. Preceding him in death were his wife in 1941; his parents; three sons, an infant son in 1916, Gordon in 1930 and Robert in 1963; and a daughter-in-law, Lucile in 1960. In April of 1942 Earl and Marjorie West were married at Lincoln. They observed their 40th wedding anniversary this year. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; grandchildren, Tony and Carl Hart of Fairbury, Ann and Charles Watts and Maria and Wayne Beck all of Edgar; great grandchildren, Stanley and Kellee Hart, Charleen, Gordon, Robert and Kathryn Watts and Carrie, Travis and Laura Beck. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Edgar with Rev. Richard L. Markland, pastor of the Edgar Christian Church, officiating. Eileen Mikkelsen was organist. Honorary pallbearers were: Leonard Hill, Merle Shafer, Harold Beck, Ralph Wilson, John Horst and Art Swanson. Active pallbearers were Cecil Larson, Harold Larson, Byron Kinnison, Bob Koontz, Bill Green and Lon Springer. Masonic graveside services were given by Edgar Lodge No. 67 A.F. & A.M. with interment in the Edgar Cemetery. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, July 1, 1982; pg. 13
