Hart is Summoned to Final Reward Taken by Death After Long Illness; Had Lived in County Fifty Years Funeral services for William Alonzo Hart were held Saturday afternoon, August 6, 1932, at the Methodist Church in Edgar at 2:30 p.m. Services were conducted by Rev S. G. Rasmusson, pastor of the church. The large concourse of friends present at the last sad rites evidenced the high esteem in which deceased was held. Interment was made in the Edgar Cemetery. William Alonzo Hart was born on January 30, 1858 in Macoupin County, Illinois and departed this life August 4, 1932, of arterial cerebral sclerosis at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 5 days. He was the second son of Malchi and Ailcy Hart. He came to Nebraska and settled on a farm near Edgar about fifty years ago. On December 25, 1884, he was united in marriage to Ella E. Nall. To this union five children were born. One daughter, Mrs. Nola Springer, preceded him in death on March 4, 1915. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife and four children, Mrs. E. J. Bohling, Sedan, Nebr.; E. F. Hart, Mrs. G. I. Green and Mrs. L. M. Cassell of Edgar and a host of other relatives and friends. In 1912 Mr. and Mrs. Hart moved from their farm to Edgar where they have lived since. Two of their grandchildren, Viola and Murdith Springer, made their home with their grandparents since the death of their mother. Mr. Hart was a member of the Methodist Church of Edgar and a firm believer in the gospel of Jesus Christ. He was also a member of Edgar Lodge No. 67 A. F. & A. M., Edgar Chapter No. 22 Mt Nebo Commandery No. 11 and Tehama Temple A. A. O. N. M. S. of Hastings. The pallbearers were J. A. Stewart, C. E. Cook, J. G. Walley, James Chance, F A. Westering, C. S. Voorhees, E. W. Clack and G. E. Martin. Out-of-town people attending the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Erway, Hastings; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Hart, Lincoln; Mr. and Mrs. Ira Paine, Grand Island; Mr. and Mrs. Geo Lewis and daughter, Clay Center, Mrs. Emma Fuller, Tecumseh, E. M. Green , Mrs. Paul Green and son Rodney, of Mason City. The entire community joins in extending their sincere condolence to the bereaved ones in their sad hour.
