Read More	Earl Franklin Stapleford was born April 28, 1885, at Miltonvale, Kansas, and passed away at his home ten miles northwest of Eureka, November 19, 1942, at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 19 days. He was the son of A.J. and Amanda Stapleford. He came to Eureka in the fall of 1900 with his parents and spent the remainder of his life in and Eureka. He joined the Baptist Church at the age of 18 years and lived a true Christian and was always thoughful of his family and neighbors. He served as clerk in South Salem township for six years and was a member of the school board for ten years, On October 21, 1903, he was married to Myrtle Swagerty. To this union were born five children, two daughter preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and three children, Aletha Bills, Edgar Stapleford, of Eureka, and Donelda at the home address; five grandchildren; four brothers, Clarence of Graber, Oklahoma; Ed of Hamilton. Mell and Tom of Eureka; and five sisters, Martha Hays of Washington, D.C., Rose Stapleford of Larned, Kansas, Esther Donaldson of Reece, Grace Carrington and Mabel Wilson of Eureka; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service was held from the Baird Funeral Home Sunday, November 22, at 2:00 p.m., conducted by Rev. Robert L. Schaechtele, Interment was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
