The cause of his death was pneumonia; but until 4 o'clock of the day he died it was not thought that he was seriously ill, even the doctor saying that the case was not a serious one. The funeral was held from the home of his parents on Sunday, April 26th, 1914, at one o'clock in the afternoon and the burial was at Massena Center cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Charles Carey of the Massena Baptist Church. Earl was born Cass County and was about six years of age. The parents and other members of the family have the sincere sympathy of their many friends in their sorrow. Anita Record April 30, 1914 Page 1 DEATH CLAIMS LITTLE BOY. After an illness of only a few days the result of catarrhal fever, Earl C. Morrison passed away on Saturday morning, April 25th, 1914, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. G. Morrison, in Massena township; aged 6 years, 1 month, and 20 days. Funeral services were held at the home on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Carey of the Massena Baptist church; interment being made in the Massena Cemetery. The services were largely attended by the neighbors and friends of the family, to whom sympathy is extended for the great loss they have sustained. Earl was a bright, happy hearted little fellow, the youngest of a family of seven children, and was not only a favorite in the home circle, but with all who knew him. The services, solemn and impressive, were made more so by the rendition of appropriate vocal selections by a quartette composed of A. B. Stone, Miss Bernice Stone, and Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Hansen. The floral offerings from neighbors and friends were many, and very beautiful.
