Lewis, Sr., died at the Centerville St. Joseph's hospital this morning. The youth had been in the hospital since December 2. Read More	CINCINNATI BOY IS TAKEN TODAY Had Been Ill Since 1935 With Illness Arising Out of Scarlet Fever Ernest Junior Lewis, 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest M. Lewis, Sr., died at the Centerville St. Joseph's hospital this morning. The youth had been in the hospital since December 2. He had been ill since 1935 at which time he was seized with a severe case of scarlet fever. Complications were created by this illness, and his health never was fully regained. Since 1935 he has not been able to attend school, except for a brief period of six weeks. Born in Putnam county, Missouri, seven miles north east of Unionville, Missouri, he moved in 1928 to Cincinnati where he has made his home ever since. In death he leaves his parents, two sisters, Mrs. Lenoa Dooley (Leoma Duley) and Mrs. (Miss) Lula Carol, and one brother, Lavern (Laverne). Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the Christian church at Cincinnati. Rev. George Swan will officiate and interment will be at Pleasant Hill. He was a freshman of the Cincinnati high school, unable to continue high school, unable to continue his high school activities this year due to complications originating from scarlet fever in 1935. He was a regular attendant of Bible school at Cincinnati until of late. Those left to mourn this loss are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lewis, Cincinnati, Ia. route, sisters, Mrs. Leoma Derby (Duley), Moulton, Iowa, Lula Carol, and one brother, Lavern (Laverne) at home. Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Lewis, Cincinnati, Ia. and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by G. W. Swan, Jr., pastor of First Christian church, Unionville, Mo.
