Description	:	Edgar G. Coleman was born in Spearville, Missouri on Marcy 11, 1878 and died March 31, 1949. He was united in marriage to Lyda Williams on August 18, 1910 at Carthage, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Shortly after their marriage they came to Kansas and settled on a farm near Climax. During the past few years he lived on the farm six miles north of Piedmont. Coleman was born in Spearville, Missouri on Marcy 11, 1878 and died March 31, 1949. He was united in marriage to Lyda Williams on August 18, 1910 at Carthage, Missouri and to this union three children were born. Shortly after their marriage they came to Kansas and settled on a farm near Climax. During the past few years he lived on the farm six miles north of Piedmont. Mr. Coleman was engaged in farming and stock raising practically all of his life. He was the youngest of thirteen children and all are deceased but two brothers, Frank and Oil. He is survived by his wife, Lyda and son Lee of the home, two daughters, Jaunita, who is now Mrs. C.M. Smyser of Wichita and Ruth who is now Mrs. J.L. Betzina of Santa Monica, California; also a grandson, Bobbie Lee Coleman, two brothers, Frank and Oil of Piedmont. There are also several nieces and nephews. Service was held at the Baird Funeral Home Sunday afternoon April 3, 1949 at 2:30 with Rev. A.W. Johnson of the First Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in Greenwood Cemetery.
