Description	:	Edgar Jacob Ackerman, son of Henry Ackerman and his wife, Elizabeth nee Schachterle, was born July 8, 1910, near Grafton, Neb. He was baptized in infancy in the Reformed Church in Sutton. There also, he was confirmed in 1926. On June 2, 1928, Edgar Ackerman and Margaret Freid were united in holy matrimony in Hastings, Neb. He was baptized in infancy in the Reformed Church in Sutton. There also, he was confirmed in 1926. On June 2, 1928, Edgar Ackerman and Margaret Freid were united in holy matrimony in Hastings, Neb. This marriage was blessed with three sons and one daughter. Mr. Ackerman spent the greater part of his life in farming. In 1955 he became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Grafton. On Thursday, September 5, Mr. Ackerman suffered a fatal heart attack at Columbus, Neb. He had attained the age of 64 years, 1 month and 28 days. The funeral was at Trinity Lutheran Church Grafton on September 9, with burial in the Grafton Cemetery. Mr. Ackerman was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Grieved by his departure are: his wife, Margaret; his three sons: Harlan, William and Gene; and his daughter, Mary (Mrs. Eugene Warnke). There are also nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Vera Hoffman, Elsie (Mrs. Sam Roseberry), Clara (Mrs. Ray Werner) and Henrietta (Mrs. Harry Yant); besides other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were: Wiliam Sharkey, Bud Dode, John Fitzgerald, Jacob Klundt, Harold Unterseher, and Dean Stuckey. The congregation sang "Rock of Ages" and "My Course is Run."
