Description	:	EDGAR JAMES HINTON Services Tuesday for Edgar James Hinton, 74 Funeral services for Edgar James Hinton, 74, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today (Tuesday) at the Sheets and Son funeral home with the Rev. Eugene Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Carl Kern Roscoe and Marvis Schilling, Lloyd Dickinson, A. A. Peterson, and Homer Achey will be pallbearers. The son of Charles and Martha Butler Hinton, he was born May 5, 1890 in Shelbyville, Ill., and was educated in the rural Shelbyville schools. He was married to Mabel Schilling in Tipton Dec. 18, 1926. He worked as a farm laborer in the Tipton area, moving to Cedar county in 1921. He served in World War 1 from June, 1918 to July 1919, as a private in Co. G. 22nd Engineers at Camp Grant, Ill. Tipton Advertiser Oct 13, 1964
