He was born at Maquoketa,Jackson County, Iowa on July 7, 1883 and was 44 years old at his death. He graduated from the Villisca high school with the class of 1903, after which he took a three year course in pharmacy, graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1906. He was born at Maquoketa,Jackson County, Iowa on July 7, 1883 and was 44 years old at his death. He graduated from the Villisca high school with the class of 1903, after which he took a three year course in pharmacy, graduating from the University of Minnesota in 1906. Besides his wife and children he also leaves his aged mother, three sisters and five brothers. The sisters and brothers are Mrs. J.E. Ayres, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. J.W. Culp, Villisca; Mrs. D.W. Gibson, Blanchard, Iowa; D.J. and C.B. Bowman, Chillicothe, MO.; E.S. Bowman, Wisner, Neb.; and C.E. Bowman, Villisca. The body arrived in Villisca Monday evening on No. 12 train accompanied by the children and the brother Everard S. Bowman and was taken to the A.B. Wolfe funeral home where the funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Geo. A. Lawson in charge. The singing was by J.H. Todd, H.H. Nordyke, R.J. Swanson and J.B. Means with Mrs. Hattie E. Hough at the piano. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Members of Mr. Bowman high school class of 1903 attended in a body.
