Somers, one of Crisfield's oldest and most highly respected citizens, died from a complication of diseases due to old age, at his home on Pine Street, at an early hour Tuesday morning. The deceased who has spent practically all his life as a waterman plying the Chesapeake and its tributaries entered the lighthouse service about thirty years ago and for the past twenty-five years had been keeper of Somers Cove Light Station. About a year ago, because of failing health, he resigned from the service and has since been more or less an invalid at his Pine Street Home. Mr. Somers was a thorough christian gentleman and for a number of years, had been a member of Immanuel M. E. Church. He leaves many friends and relatives who join us in mourning his death. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Jennie Somers, and one son, Mr. Rupert R. Somers, both of this city. Funeral services were held at the late home Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. John J.
