She was a graduate of Danbury High School. She worked at Mattox Transfer and Storage for 28 years. She married Byron S. Keltner April 5, 1942, in Des Moines. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved basketball. She is survived by one granddaughter, Fran Sobotka of Overland Park, Kan.; one grandson, Joseph Stephans of O'Fallon, Ill.; and six great-grandchildren, Erin and Jon Sobotka, Vincent, Abigail, Gregory and Matthew Stephans. She was preceded in death by her husband; her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Vincent Stephans; one sister; one brother; and one granddaughter. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, and from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Adams Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to be sent to First United Methodist Church. Adams Funeral Home in Ames is in charge of arrangements.
