Haines McKinzie, 77, of 713 Clinton died at 12:15 p.m. May 7, 1985, at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Klyn, 420 Burrhus. She was born April 8, 1908, in Missouri to Ed and Carolyn Jocelyn Lewis. A resident of Ottumwa most of her, she married Earl McKinzie on June 9, 1956. He died March 16, 1969. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Rhodes and Dorothy Klyn, both of Ottumwa; four sons, Jim Haines, La Von Haines and Lonnie Haines, all of Ottumwa, and Charles Haines of Buffalo; 36 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Vida Reber, Mabel Reed and Myrtle Vaughn, all of Ottumwa, and Ethel Davis of Spokane, Wash. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Haines, and a daughter, Marilyn Foley. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. Russell Sporer of the Calvary Open Bible Church officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 -8:30 p.m. this evening. A memorial has been established to the Heart Fund, in care of Victoria Yetley, 1332 N. Elm, Ottumwa 52501.
