Description	:	Services were held Tuesday, Mar. 16, 2010 at First English Lutheran Church in Lennox for Edith Korslund, 71, who died Monday, Mar. 8, 2010 at Arizona Regional Medical Center in Apache Junction, Arizona following a short illness of one week. Officiating during the service was the Rev. Hugh Brewer. Pallbearers were Nick Bossman, Greg Bossman, Darrin Jensen, Paul Beukelman, Michael Loecker, and Brad McDonald. Interment was in the Lennox Cemetery. Edith Joan Jensen was born Jan. 26, 1939 at Irene, SD, the daughter of Carl C. and Esther (Swensen) Jensen. She attended Sletten rural school and graduated from Irene High School in 1957. On June 11, 1958 Edith was united in marriage to Arthur Korslund at Center Point, SD. They lived in Irene and moved to Lennox in 1966 where she had since lived. She enjoyed being a teacher's aid at the Lennox Elementary School for over 25 years. Her husband preceded her in death on August 5, 2005. Edith was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Lennox. She enjoyed spending the winter months in Arizona since 2000. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, looked forward to having coffee with her friends and enjoyed playing pinochle. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her father on August 14, 1994, her mother on February 15, 2005; two sons: Keith Korslund on December 20, 1991 and Wayne Korslund on December 30, 2000 a brother, Jerry Jensen, in 1992 and a sister, Jeanette Wagner, in 1993. Grateful for having shared her life are two daughters: Karen Bossman and her husband, Paul, of Lennox and Wanda Korslund of Sioux Falls; one son, Jeff Korslund of Sioux Falls; three grandchildren: Melissa, Nick and Greg Bossman; plus other relatives and many friends.
