Description	:	Edith Louise Cox Sloan, 86, wife of the late Landrum Earl Sloan, formerly of 9 Reeve Street, died Monday, July 23, 2007, at the Mountain Home Health & Rehab in Hendersonville, N.C. A native of Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late James Luther and Sally Kirby Cox, she was retired from Inman Mills and was a member of Enoree Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Johnny E. Sloan of Waterloo and Jackie Sloan of Laurens; a daughter, Ann Sloan and her husband, Adrian Gentry, of Simpsonville; daughter-in-law, Becky Sloan of Laurens; sisters, Ruby Cantrell of Greer and Rachel Turner... She was predeceased by two sons, Wayne and Bill Thomas Sloan. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Thursday at the Wood Mortuary Chapel, conducted by Rev. Alan Taylor. Burial will follow in the Wood Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:30 to 2 PM Thursday at the Wood Mortuary prior to the service. The family is at their respective homes.
