She was born on January 21, 1917 in rural Adams Nebraska and attended school in Adams. She was married to Harmie M. Harms in the Judge's Office in Tecumseh on August 15, 1935 and they lived and farmed in the Adams area from 1935 to 1970. Following the death of her husband, she moved into Adams. Read More	Edith Lucille Harms, 90, of Adams died on Tuesday morning, March 27, 2007 at Gold Crest Retirement Center in Adams. She was born on January 21, 1917 in rural Adams Nebraska and attended school in Adams. She was married to Harmie M. Harms in the Judge's Office in Tecumseh on August 15, 1935 and they lived and farmed in the Adams area from 1935 to 1970. Following the death of her husband, she moved into Adams. She worked as a cook and waitress at Teda's Café, Sandy's Café and the Strawberry Patch Café all of Adams. She was a charter member of the American Lutheran Church of Adams and a member of its first confirmation class, a member of the women's circle of the church, active in Bible Study, helped with the church newsletter and sent out greeting cards for the church. She was a volunteer at the Adams Public Library and also at Gold Crest where she helped with Bingo. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary #10042 of Adams. She lived at Gold Crest Retirement Center since 1997. She enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening, reading and playing cards. Survivors include four sons, Richard D. Harms and wife, Judy of Beatrice, Gene Harms and wife, Virginia of Lincoln, Gary Harms and wife, Janette of Ashland and Charles Harms and wife, Leslie of Adams; two daughters, Karen Page and husband, David of Adams and Rosie Estle and husband, Marvin of Sterling; 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Dorothy Schlake of Phoenix, Arizona; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Rose Whyman Galloway; her husband, Harmie who died on January 10, 1970; four brothers, two in infancy and James and Charles Galloway; and one sister, Mary Rice.
