Description	:	Edith M. Ross, 93, of Peetz, died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2000, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 10 am. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. II at Tennant Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am. on Wednesday, Jan. 12 at the Peetz United Methodist Church. The Rev. Tom Peacock will officiate. Burial will be at the Peetz Cemetery. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1925. She attended Chadron College from fall of 1925 through summer of 1926. She taught school at Whitney, Neb. for one school year. In the fall of 1927, she taught at a country school south of Kruger's lake, NE District No. 93. She married Leslie Ross on Nov. 12, 1927 at the Sterling Presbyterian parsonage. She was a member of the Peetz United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Woman's Group, and the Ladies Bible Study and Bridge Club. She enjoyed reading, going to church, her community and family gatherings. Mrs. Ross is survived by her sons, David Ross and wife Deanna of Peetz, and Claude Ross and wife Elizabeth of Loveland; her daughters, Mary Jo Ruhter and husband Jack of Cheyenne, Wyo., Jane Aikin and husband Donald of Las Vegas, Milly Westphalen and husband Vernon of Peetz; her daughter-in-law, Marilyn Ross of Sterling; her brother, Charles George of Denver; her sister- in-law, Virginia George of Sid ney, Neb., 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, two grandsons, one great-grandson, seven brothers, and one sister. Memorial contributions may be made to the Peetz United Methodist Church in care of Tennant Funeral Home, Box 1547, Sterling, CO 80751.
