Edmund McClaury: Member of the 14th Regiment, Company G of Iowa Volunteer Infantry, Private McClaury fought in the "Hornet's Nest" at the Battle of Shiloh. Towards the the end of the first day of battle, Edmund's regiment was completely surrounded and forced to surrender. Edmund was marched down to the prisoner camps of Macon, GA.
