| Description | : | Margaret was born in New York to Ebenezer and Margaret Rowland on July 25, 1812. She married Robert Housten McLaury and they moved to Merideth, N.Y. In 1855 they moved to Belle Plaine, Iowa. During their stay in Iowa, they changed their name from McLaury to McClaury. Her husband Robert was a lawyer and farmer. In 1859, Margaret died of typhoid fever and was buried at Wright Cemetery in Belle Plaine, Iowa. Margaret had many children.
