In June 1989 he moved to the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. He served in the United States Navy from 1942 until 1945 and was a lifetime member of the VFW in Denver. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Charles Homan; great-grandson Brian Burgmaier; and son-in-law Ronald Schrodt. He is survived by a daughter Evelyn (husband Vernon) Lyons, Creston; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two greatgreat- grandchildren; and sister Edith Dustin. Farmington. New Mexico. . Services were held July 14 at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston with Rev. James McCutchan. pastor of Assembly of God in Creston officiating. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery.
