She was united in marriage to George Nicholson on November 4, 1941 in Osage. Edna sold Avon for many years and babysat for many children. She was a member of the Immanuel Memorial United Church of Christ in Alden and was active in the VFW Auxiliary. Edna is survived by her son, Duane and his wife, Kay of Alden; one grandson, Jeffrey Nicholson and wife, Anita of Iowa City; two granddaughters, Julie Reynolds and husband, Robert of Iowa Falls and Jennifer Sievers and husband, Jeff of Norwalk; seven great-grandchildren, John and Shane Nicholson, Kassi, Shelby, and Parker Reynolds, and Abigale and Trey Sievers; two sisters, Martha Hetland of Radcliffe and Erma Burke of Bentonville, AR.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, 4 sisters; and 6 brothers.
