Description	:	Edna (nee Boese) Isaac, daughter of Samuel and Susanna Boese was born January 22, 1891, at Durham, Kansas. She peacefully passed to her eternal reward August 30, 1970 at 5:10 A.M. in the Three Hills Municipal Hospital, after a brief illness of 11 hours, the result of a stroke. She reached the age of 79 years, 7 months and 8 days. She peacefully passed to her eternal reward August 30, 1970 at 5:10 A.M. in the Three Hills Municipal Hospital, after a brief illness of 11 hours, the result of a stroke. She reached the age of 79 years, 7 months and 8 days. In her infancy she moved with her parents to Dallas, Oregon, from where she, with her parents moved to the Sunnyslope, Alberta area at the age of 11 years. At the age of 19 she felt her lost condition, accepting Christ as her personal Savior and upon remission of her sins was baptized and became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, of which she remained true and faithful to the end. She was ever ready to lend a helping hand wherever needed, being especially active in the sewing circle. She always had a deep concern for her children and grandchildren especially in the spiritual realm. At the age of 20 she was united in marriage with Abraham Isaac with whom she shared joys and sorrows for over 50 years. She now leaves to mourn her sudden departure; 4 sons and 6 daughters: Oscar and Ella Isaac of Medicine Hat, Sol and Margaret Isaac of Edberg, Carl and Margaret Isaac of Linden, Irene and Edwin Esau of Fort Vermillion, Noah and Lea Isaac, Ella and Harvey A. Toews, Clara and Benjamin Toews all of Linden, Mary and Ena of the home, Matilda and William Wohlgemuth of Crooked Creek, 2 sisters and 3 brothers, 57 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren, and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 daughters, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brothers and 1 sister. THE LAST JOURNEY Mother left her supper unfinished She said her head was not feeling too well So one of her daughters assisted her, And she went to her bed, lay down for a spell. She took that last step to her bedroom Not realizing it would be her last, We checked her a little while later And saw she needed some help--real fast. "She's in a coma" were the doctor's words When after our summons he reached her side We wanted to hear Mother's voice again, But our efforts were in vain; so hard we tried. Dear Mother was rushed to the hospital While the rest of the family was called. Some anxiously sat by her bedside, While for some the night seemed so long. We were there a few hours--till sunrise When Jesus quietly took her hand And bade her to "come up higher" To a better and more lovely land. Mother and Grandmother will be missing Next time we step inside the door But her memory and things she taught us We'll always cherish more and more. She often seemed so very lonely Since Father left for his home in the sky, And she'd always have a ready welcome, For all of us when we would stop by. The things our loved one had to offer Were not things that were counted by cost, For her home was Christian, peaceful home, Her prayer was that none should be lost. At Christmas over a year ago She told us of three dreams she had had-- Said that she was walking to Heaven Was almost there--we could see she was glad. Although we mourn her sudden passing For she left without saying "goodbye" We aim to live the way she taught us, Till we meet our Mother in the sky. Funeral services were held in the Linden Church on Wed. afternoon, Sept. 2, 1970. Min. Frank Hiebert opened with fitting words for introduction and prayer. Min. Jake Boese brought the message, reading Ps. 91:1 and Rev. 21:1, 7. Interment was made in the nearby cemetery where Min. Ed Boese led a short grave side service.
