Clairmont Drive, Salisbury, passed away in the Spring Hill Private Sanatorium, in Salisbury, where she had been a patient for more than two months, on Thursday of last week, March 19th. She was 78 years of age. Mrs. Loreman, wife of the late H. L. Loreman Sr., had been in failing health for some time. She was a native of Crisfield, the daughter of the late John Pierson and Mary Susan Tawes. She was a charter member of the Eastern Star here and a member of the Samuel Chase Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of Immanuel Methodist Church, Crisfield, and it's Woman's Society of Christian Service. Before moving to Salisbury more than 20 years ago, Mrs. Loreman was among those instrumental in building the McCready Memorial Hospital and served as the first vice president of the hospital's Auxiliary Board of which she was a charter member. For many years she served as chairman of the Christmas tuberculosis seals and also as chairman of the Fresh Air Children's Committee in her home town. Her survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Stanley G. Robins, a son, H. L. Loreman, Jr. , of Salisbury, and another daughter, Mrs. Philip W. Warren of Los Angeles, California. There are nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Harding P. Tull, and a brother, J. Morris Tawes, live in Crisfield. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Hill & Johnson Funeral Home in Salisbury, conducted, by the Rev. Robert Mackey, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church there. Interment was in Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield where graveside services were conducted at 3 p.m. by the Rev. J. Howard Link, pastor of Immanuel Methodist Church. Bearers were Ralph R. Purnell, R. Brook Troy, Fred H. Battle, C. L. Dickinson, George W. Tilghman,Jr. and Joshua W. Miles. The Crisfield Times, Crisfield, Maryland, Friday, March 27, 1959, p. 2
