Edna was born on March 20, 1930 in Culbertson, Montana the daughter of Henry Cecil and Emily (Damm) Liebrecht. She received her education in the Wapato-Toppenish area and later earned a licensed practical nursing degree (LPN). Edna worked as a LPN for the Sunnyside Community Hospital for twenty four years. Edna was born on March 20, 1930 in Culbertson, Montana the daughter of Henry Cecil and Emily (Damm) Liebrecht. She received her education in the Wapato-Toppenish area and later earned a licensed practical nursing degree (LPN). Edna worked as a LPN for the Sunnyside Community Hospital for twenty four years. On July 25, 1948 she married Ernest Jackson Duncan in Toppenish. Edna was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Sunnyside, where she enjoyed Wednesday night bingo. Edna also spent many hours doing circle word search puzzles, making Easter Sugar Eggs and crocheting. She is survived by two sons, Dennis (Maxine) Duncan, Chehalis, Dale (Reana) Duncan of Goodyear, AZ; three daughters, Denise (David) Trautman and Darlene (Egbert) Terry both of Sunnyside and Dorthy (David) Richards of Puyallup. She is also survived by five brothers, Henry and (Judy) Liebrecht and Ted (Helen) Liebrecht both of Wapato; Herman (Joanne) Liebrecht of Moses Lake; Gary (Jan) Liebrecht of Mercer Island; Jerry (Bernice) Liebrecht of Ariel. Two sisters, Freda Calahan and Marjorie Williams both of Yakima. Twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Ernest Jackson Duncan; parents, Henry Liebrecht and Emily (Damm); son, Donald Andrew Duncan; sisters, Irene Hoyt and Dorothy Liebrecht and grandson, Charles Jackson Duncan. Viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside, WA. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at 12:00 (Noon) at the Smith Funeral Home in Sunnyside with burial to follow at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Dr Anna Madej, Dr. Michael Gawlik, nursing staff at Sunnyside Community Hospital, staff from Lower Valley Hospice and Palliative Care and Hillcrest Manor and Rehabilitation Center for their kind and compassionate services.
