Edna attended school in Springdale and Big Timber, graduating from Sweet Grass County High School. She was married to Sivert (Sam)Jacobson on Dec 24, 1926, at Big Timber. They lived in many different places until settling in Bozeman in 1952. She was a homemaker and self-employed partner in the family trucking business. She belonged to the Gallatin Valley Snowmobile Association. Edna's greatest joy was time spent exploring the back roads, mountain trails and slopes with her best friend and husband, her "Sam" and son, Don and his family or friends. They found God's serenity and beauty on foot, horseback,four-wheeler, snowmobiles, motorcycles or camping. Her vantage point, the last couple of years, has been in the car with Sam,touring the many areas they enjoyed. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were bright spots in her life. Same and Edna were married over 63 happy years, enjoying their work, family and hobbies. Edna is survived by her husband, Sivert (Sam); son, Donald W Jacobson, Sr, and his wife, Kay of Billings; sisters, Alice Snyder, Independence, MO, and Shirly Esp, Big Timber; brother Al Rich, Littleton, CO; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
