Description	:	Funeral services for Edna Joann Boe, daughter of Mrs. Louis Taylor and the late John Boe Jr., were conducted from the Big Timber Lutheran, church Saturday afternoon, with Rev. E. S. Tollefson of Livingston Officiating. Joann passed away Wednesday of last week: following a two months illness with leukemia. She had entered Lott hospital in Livingston on June 21 but had not been bedfast until the last week. She was able to be home on several occasion and spent considerable time visiting in Livingston with relatives and friends during most of her time there. Joann never complained of her condition... Tollefson of Livingston Officiating. Joann passed away Wednesday of last week: following a two months illness with leukemia. She had entered Lott hospital in Livingston on June 21 but had not been bedfast until the last week. She was able to be home on several occasion and spent considerable time visiting in Livingston with relatives and friends during most of her time there. Joann never complained of her condition and even grew accustomed to the blood transfusions of which she had a total of 14, all from local people. She was conscious until the moment she quietly passed away early Wednesday morning. Hundreds of visitors called at the hospital to visit and cheer her during her two months confinement. Joann was born in Big Timber on August 23, 1936. She started to school at Edgar and attended school in Bridger and Juneau, Alaska, returning to Big Timber in the fall of 1947. She was active in school and church activities. She was a member of the grade school triple trio, the Junior Luther League, the Lutheran Junior choir, and the Girl Scouts, and had had a perfect Sunday school and church attendance. The church was filled to capacity by relatives and friends who came to pay their last respects to the popular girl, the Girl Scouts attending in a body. Music was by Mrs. A. Ronald McDonnell and Mrs. Ted C. Busha, accompanied by E. O. Overland at the organ. Pallbearers were Ray and Kenneth Boe, Tom Osen of Livingston, Harold and Don Tetlie, Sven Mauland. George Erickson and Ray Lee Traver. Burial was in Mountain View. Immediate survivors, besides her mother and stepfather, are her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Boe, and a brother, Billy. published 8-25-1949 Big Timber Pioneer
