Read More	Edna Mae Spiegel, 79 years of age, of Holdrege, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at her home in Holdrege. Edna was born on November 26, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, the third of nine children to Alfred and Mae (Thompson) Otto. She received her education at Albion, Nebraska. On February 9, 1959, she was united in marriage to Edwin “Punk” Spiegel at Columbus, Nebraska, and to this union three boys were born: Jeff, Fred, and Casey. The couple made their home in Albion, Cedar Rapids, Columbus, Holdrege, and then Atlanta. Edna was employed at Becton-Dickinson in Holdrege in manufacturing and later the custodial department, until her retirement after almost thirty years of service. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Richard, Norman and Donald; and a sister in infancy; and a special friend, Stan Kaufman. She is survived by her three sons: Jeff Spiegel and his wife, Kristi, of Atlanta, Nebraska; Fred Spiegel and his wife, Janis of Bertrand, Nebraska; and Casey Spiegel of Mascot, Nebraska; seven grandchildren: Cody Spiegel; Stevie Spiegel; Ben Spiegel and his wife, Taylor; Dillon Spiegel; Josh Spiegel; Courtney Kay Larson; and Shadrick Spiegel; two great-grandchildren: Kinley and Asher Spiegel; Enda’s siblings: Bud Otto and his wife, Donna; Linda Reece; Vernon Otto and his wife, Jane; and Bev Graning; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
