Norman was born March 8, 1949 at Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, the sixth of nine children born to Alfred R. and Mae (Thompson) Otto. He received his education from Albion High School. Read More	Norman Carroll Otto, 61 years of age, of Holdrege, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the VA Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Norman was born March 8, 1949 at Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, the sixth of nine children born to Alfred R. and Mae (Thompson) Otto. He received his education from Albion High School. On April 15, 1969 he was drafted into the United States Army until his honorable discharge on March 15, 1971. He served his country during the Vietnam War. He later pursued higher education from the Central Community College at Grand Island, Nebraska. On March 12, 1982 he was united in marriage to Myra Anderson and to this union two children were born: Lucas and Myranda. The couple later divorced. Norman was employed at several John Deer Dealerships throughout the state, with his longest time spent with McClymont Implement in Holdrege, where he worked for over 30 years. Norman enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with his children and his grandson. Besides his parents, Norman was preceded in death by one brother, Donald; and one sister, Becky during infancy. He leaves to mourn his passing his children: Lucas Otto and his wife, Amber of Holdrege, Myranda Otto of Holdrege; one grandson, Hudson Otto of Holdrege; one stepson, Travis Mayo of North Platte, Nebraska; three brothers: Dick Otto and his wife, Bonnie of Fremont, Nebraska, Alfred Otto and his wife, Donna of Odessa, Texas, Vernon Otto and his wife, Jane of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three sisters: Edna Spiegel of Holdrege, Nebraska, Linda Reece of Warwick, Rhode Island, Beverly Graning of Council Bluffs, Iowa; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
