She was 89. Mrs. Hunthausen was born to Mr. and Mrs. Adam Tuchscherer in Menahsa, Wis., on Sept. 28, 1893. In 1901, the family moved to Anaconda where Mr. Tuchscherer founded the Anaconda Brewing Co. She was 89. Mrs. Hunthausen was born to Mr. and Mrs. Adam Tuchscherer in Menahsa, Wis., on Sept. 28, 1893. In 1901, the family moved to Anaconda where Mr. Tuchscherer founded the Anaconda Brewing Co. After her marriage to Anthony Hunthausen, they established the Hunthausen Grocery in the 300 block on West Park and also had a store in the 700 block on West Fourth. The family home was at 701 W. Third. Mr Hunthausen died in Anaconda on June 24, 1957. Mrs. Hunthausen was active in community affairs, Catholic women's groups, the Anaconda Women's Club and various charitable organizations. She was a member of the Anaconda Catholic Community and the Daughters of Isabella of which she was a charter member. The Daughters of Isabella will recite rosary in Longfellow's Finnegan Funeral Home Thursday at 2. Vigil prayers will be recited at 7:30 Thursday. Her son, Archbishop Hunthausen and the Rev. John Hunthausen of Butte, will celebrate Mass of the Resurrection at 12:30 Friday in Holy Family Church. Also surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hunthausen and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Hunthausen, all of Helena; sons-in-law and daughters, Sister Edna Hunthausen of Butte, Mr. and Mrs. P.J. Walsh of Helena and Mr. and Mrs. John (Jean Ann) Stergar of Anaconda; sisters, Griselda Sugrue of Anaconda and Viola Campbell of Helena; 38 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
