Read More	CANFIELD, Edna Mary (Fisher) (Age 97) Passed away on May 6, 2017 on her second day at Hospice of Spokane. Edna was born March 15, 1920, the second of six children born to Herb and Maude Fisher. She was raised in Endicott, WA. In 1939, Edna married Roy Canfield. During WWII Edna traveled from Seattle to New York for, at best, a "chance" to see Roy before he was deployed to Germany. Luck was with them and they spent a few hours together. Following the war, the couple moved to Spokane and purchased Five Mile Dry Cleaners. After selling the dry cleaners, Roy went to work for the railroad and Edna started her own business, Canfield Reweaving. For more the 50 years, Edna contracted with local dry cleaners to reweave holes and rips to clothing. Edna had a dry sense of humor and was always up on what was going on in the world. For all her 97 years her mind was sharp. She enjoyed the challenge of a good card game. Edna spent the last 10 years at Lilac Terrace Retirement Home. There she maintained a beautiful raised flower garden in the summer and was nicknamed, by some, as the "Puzzle Queen" by spending hours with fellow residents working on puzzles. Edna treasured her friendships made at Lilac Terrace. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She loved spending time with all members of her family and considered each of them to be a flower in her garden. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Roy in 1981 and son Kenneth in 2015. Also preceding her in death were siblings Mickey, Agnes, Betty, Wayne, and Dave. She is survived by daughters Mary (Kevin) Hutchings and Donna (Tom) Adams and daughter-in- law Susan Canfield. Edna's grandchildren are Christine, (Eric) Schmidt, Brad (Theresa) Canfield, Jeff (Mandy) Canfield, Matt (Laura) Woods, Jason Kimbrell and Alicia (David) Marlow. Great- grandchildren are Katelyn, Jacob, Hailey, Lane, Riley, Vera, Nicole, Charlotte, Maeve, and Peter. A family graveside service was held at Greenwood Cemetery.
