Description	:	Edna May Hirtle June 29, 1916-December 20, 2015. Edna was born in Saskatchewan to parents, John and Mary Wyant. She was raised on the prairies with her 2 brothers and a sister with whom she was very close to. She moved to Ontario in the 1950’s, securing close relationships with many family members and friends. She then moved again to Nova Scotia in 1974, gathering even more loved ones and making it her final home. She was raised on the prairies with her 2 brothers and a sister with whom she was very close to. She moved to Ontario in the 1950’s, securing close relationships with many family members and friends. She then moved again to Nova Scotia in 1974, gathering even more loved ones and making it her final home. After 99 incredible years of life, Edna passed away at Shoreham Village, Chester on December 20, 2015, following a short illness. Although she is no longer with us, her powerful legacy remains. Everyone she met felt the lasting impact of her fun and dynamic personality. She is predeceased by her husband, Leslie Keith Hirtle; an infant son, Irving Richard Vincent Fiddler; her Mother, Mary (Keubler) Wyant and her Father, John Wyant; brother, Carl Wyant and his wife Janet; brother, Arthur Wyant and his wife Kathleen and his former spouse, Agnes; sister, Margaret Watkin and her husband, Jason; a nephew, Vernon Watkin. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Edward (Linda) Watkin, Marion (Joe) Musty, Marilyn (Floyd) Lundstrom. She was dearly loved and cherished by many nieces-in-law and nephews-in-law, whom she adopted as her own. As well, she is fondly remembered by a multitude of great nieces and nephews. All who met her adored her, and as a result of her shining personality there will also be many friends who deeply feel the loss of her passing. The family of Edna Hirtle would like to especially thank the staff of Shoreham Village in Chester who lovingly cared for Edna while she lived there and also in her final days as she passed. Not only did they show love and concern for Edna, they also extended this to friends and family members, who are forever grateful. She was laid to rest beside her beloved husband on December 23, 2015 at a private burial service at Hillside Cemetery, Clearland.
