Description	:	Obituary Griess- Edward P. Griess passed away in the Good Samaritan hospital at Kearney March 27th after a lingering illness at the age of 74 years, eight months and 27 days. Edward P. Griess, son of Peter and Sophie Grosshans Griess was born in Sutton June 30, 1879. In 1894 he was confirmed in the Reformed church. In later life he joined the Presbyterian church in Kearney. In 1930 he moved to Kenesaw and eight years later moved to Kearney where he resided until his death. Surviving are his wife, Laura, son Robt. E. of Fairbury, and his daughter, Mrs. Wm N. McCrory of Mound City, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. John Dennis, Grand Island; four brothers, Theodore of Kearney, Albert of Long Beach, Cal., Dr. Rudolph of Salinas, Cal.; and four grandchildren, Janet, Robert, Kathleen and Suzanne McCrory. Funeral services were held at the Trinity Presbyterian church at Kearney Tuesday, March 30th. Burial was in Sutton cemetery.
