Description	:	Edward “Ed” Albert Buresh was born on February 15, 1923, in rural Tama County, the son of Joe and Frances (Ludvicek) Buresh. Ed attended Carroll #5 country school until the 8th grade. On October 8, 1946, he was united in marriage to Edna Wacha at Holy Trinity Church in Vining. The couple made their home on farms in Perry and Carroll Townships. Read More	Edward “Ed” Albert Buresh was born on February 15, 1923, in rural Tama County, the son of Joe and Frances (Ludvicek) Buresh. Ed attended Carroll #5 country school until the 8th grade. On October 8, 1946, he was united in marriage to Edna Wacha at Holy Trinity Church in Vining. The couple made their home on farms in Perry and Carroll Townships. Ed worked as a farmer his entire life. He was a lifelong member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic church until it closed. More recently, he attended St. Paul Catholic Church and was a member of the KD Lodge and Cedar Valley Polka Club. Ed loved his farm and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and polka dancing. Ed died at the age of 91 on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Joe; and two sisters, Helen and Millie. Ed is survived by four sons, Chuck Buresh of Traer, John (Cindy) Buresh of Traer, George (Joni) Buresh of Traer, and Steve (Kerri) Buresh of Waverly; two daughters, Dorothy Kahler of Traer and Mary Buresh of Marshalltown; a sister, Margaret of Toledo; thirteen grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Services at 1 p.m. Monday, St. Paul Catholic Church, Traer, with burial in St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery, rural Clutier. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Funeral Home, Traer, with a 5 p.m. rosary service. Memorials may be directed to the family.
