He is survived by his sons, Michael, Edwin, Steven, and David. He lost a son, Ronald in 1972 in an auto accident. His parents were William Marchand and Mary Aurapahkin Marchand who resided in the Kelly Hill area. His brother Joe Marchand lives in Omak. Sisters Regina and Nancy live in the Spokane area. He is survived by his sons, Michael, Edwin, Steven, and David. He lost a son, Ronald in 1972 in an auto accident. His parents were William Marchand and Mary Aurapahkin Marchand who resided in the Kelly Hill area. His brother Joe Marchand lives in Omak. Sisters Regina and Nancy live in the Spokane area. Brother Johnny preceded him in death. Edward Marchand was a member of the Colville Confederated Tribes and was a strong supporter of youth activities. He coached Little League, Babe Ruth, and American Legion baseball for over 40 years. He was very proud of being married to his wife, Thelma, for 50 years. Edward and Thelma travelled all over the United States and Canada supporting their boys and their grandchildren in a variety of sports activities. At the age of 76 he retired from the Bureau of Indian Affairs being in charge of Facilities Management for the Tribe. Edward worked for over 20 years at Biles Coleman in Omak. He worked on the Grand Coulee Dam and Chief Joseph Dams, and he was proud to have trained many other tribal members in the carpentry trade. A family rosary service was held at the family home on Wednesday, Sept 9. A general rosary service was held Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Longhouse followed by a dinner. The funeral service was Friday, Sept. 11 at St. Mary's Mission. Burial was Fort Okanogan Cemetery followed by a dinner.
